Update Course and Provider Details
Registered training organisations (RTOs) should contact the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) to update their details.
If you wish to promote your organisation and the training you deliver through the state-operated Victorian TAFE Course Directory and the TAFE Course Line you need to register your organisation with the Australian Career Information Register (ACIR), managed by Hobsons Australia Pty Ltd.

Course and provider information for the state-operated TAFE Courses Directory is sourced from the ACIR, managed by Hobsons Australia Pty Ltd.
How do I change existing entries in the TAFE Courses Directory Victoria?
To change an existing entry in the online version of the TAFE Course Directory Victoria you must first update the details via the ACIR (Australian Career Information Register) website. The changes will appear in the next quarterly update online.
How often is the data updated?
The data is updated quarterly online and annually through the printed version of the TAFE Courses Directory.
What does it cost?
While there are no fees associated with being included on ACIR and therefore the TAFE Courses Directory, you are required to update your information at least once a year, (more frequently if you have a change of address, scope, etc.) in order to ensure quality data. Once you have registered you will receive email reminders to update your course information.
Who looks after the Australian Career Information Register (ACIR)?
The ACIR is managed by Hobsons Australia Pty Ltd, an educational publishing organisation of Australian career and course information. The Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) use the data to create the TAFE Courses Directory to provide up-to-date relevant information to prospective students, career advisors, and community members about vocational education and training pathways in Victoria through print and online formats.
How do I get my training courses into the TAFE Courses Directory Victoria?
The data for the Directory is drawn from the ACIR database. If your organisation is a registered training organisation (RTO) and you would like your courses to be included in the Directory, simply register your organisation on the ACIR website.
How do I get my training organisation included in the TAFE Courses Directory?
Go to the ACIR website and read the section ‘How to register your organisation on ACIR’ or contact vet@hobsons.com.au.
You will need to provide:
- your organisation name
- National Training Information Service (NTIS) national registration code
- contact details (name, position, email and phone number of the person who will be responsible for updating your data).
Once you have registered with ACIR, you will receive a user name and password, and information on how to log in to the website to add and update information about your organisation and its courses.
