Description
This qualification is from the Health Training Package, and provides the knowledge and skills needed to assist a dentist, dental hygienist or dental therapist during all health care procedures, to help maintain high standards of infection control and to assist with practice administration.
Subjects
Communicate and work effectively in health; Comply with infection control policies and procedures in health work; Process reusable instruments and equipment in health work; Participate in OHS processes; Prepare for and assist with oral health care procedures; Assist with dental radiography; Assist with administration in dental practice; Apply first aid.

Year 12 or equivalent; relevant employment and training contract; adequate literacy and numeracy skills
